“In 2010 the José Carreras Foundation decided to launch, together with the public administration, a historic and incomparable project: the first European research centre focused on leukemia and other haematological diseases. The aim of the foundation is to promote biomedical research and the development of medicine that is personalised. It is an unprecedented centre that, thanks to the hard work and rigour of researchers from all over the world, uses the most advanced technologies to win the fight to leukemia and other haematological diseases.
